CONTEXT
Santa Monica College's Black Collegians Program (BCP) supports African American students in achieving academic success and transferring to four-year universities. The program offers resources and guidance to help students excel academically and set personal goals. 

CHALLENGE
The BCP needed to effectively publicize a Bill Duke event to increase student awareness and participation. Engaging a diverse audience and showcasing the program's impact were key considerations.

MY ROLE
As Director of Publicity for the BCP, I was responsible for collaborating with student leadership and the college's marketing department to promote the Bill Duke event. This involved creating a visually appealing flyer, coordinating email distribution, and capturing photographic documentation of the event.

Comprehensive Documentation

Throughout the event, I captured photographs from various angles. These photos aimed to showcase Bill Duke, the venue, and the size of the engaged audience. This visual storytelling approach helped document the event's success.

Results
